In the shallow waters off the Lower Keys Away from the pilings and the palm trees
A tidal wave of a man and a hammerhead shark, both in search of dinner as the skies grew dark
Dave chased grouper in the current, as it began to run, Ignoring the grey ghost above him blocking out the sun
Big Moe smiled at the dinner Dave had found thinking, “Man is helpless, not on solid ground”
Maybe we should warn Big Moe, Tidal Wave is not like any man you and I know
He dives the ocean, an aqua man at ease From No Name Island came the King of the Keys
Maybe we should warn Tidal Wave Dave, Big Moe sent many many a man to a watery grave
Stretching 18 feet from his nose to his fin, Let the battle of the these two Florida Legends begin
Big Moe dove to the bottom with precision, Tidal Wave Dave saw red as he came within his vision
The sea life hid and much to there surprise Tidal Wave grabbed Moe and hit him right between the eyes
Big Moe turned and attacked with all his might Tidal Wave struck him, and held on tight
Again Moe lunged at the Poseidon of the sea, getting nowhere with the King of the Keys
Tidal Wave with his trident and Moe’s dorsal fin in hand
Back paddled up the beach through the mangroves and up onto the land
Tidal Wave Dave tossed Big Moe all around
thinking, “Shark is helpless, here on solid ground, here on solid ground”
Maybe we should have warned Big Moe Tidal Wave Dave gave that Hammerhead Shark a go
Thinking about the day and his archenemy Big Moe begged Tidal Wave Dave, “Please let me swim away”
"Tidal Wave let me swim away," not to be the last time they would meet, big Moe vowed revenge for his defeat,
Tidal Wave laughing, as he heard “Expect the unexpected” were Moe’s last words
“Expect the unexpected” were Moe’s last words
